The Eagles are listed as the most valuable sports franchise in Philadelphia at $3.1 B, The Phillies as the second most valuable franchise at $1.9 B, The Sixers as the third most valuable franchise at $1.7 B, and The Flyers as the fourth most valuable franchise at $800 M.
These are the specific numbers for each team and where the money is used. The Eagles have the highest number of player expenses because they have to pay a 53-man roster and some players for example Carson Wentz who are making over 30 million a year. The Eagles also have the highest revenue because their games are the most expensive to attend. There are also other factors including making off money from parking, food, and merchandise.
Throughout this project I collected all of the data about each team value from Forbes. I was able to extract that data to Google Sheets by using pivot tables and filter interesting insights about the data table. For Graphics, I used the Bebas Neue font and made the background for each page the main color of each team. I also made the bar graph in the first dataset represent the main color of each team. For my website design I used an interlink for all the philadelphia teams and on each page I had a home interlink to go back to the main page. Overall, I enjoyed working on this project and learning how to use coding in web design. There were some difficulties in making different pages but learning how to make them work was very helpful.
